The Weekend in Review

Isabella had quite the fun weekend. David and I needed to go to the house to sort through the small items that are left there so we can continue to make our Personal Content lists for insurance. Isabella got to spend the day with her best friend Jordan Velevis. Kim and Rob were nice enough to watch her all morning so we could complete that fun task and get a few other things done. She went to the park and discovered the joys of the merry-go-round. Kim told me she didn't want to get off. Once they convinced her to change activities, she wouldn't get off of the swing. That's the part that saddens me about this whole experience. She really misses having a backyard. There's no place in our apartment complex for her to swing or run around where there aren't tons of cars. It's sad.

On Sunday we went to the annual Kosher Chili Cookoff. It was so much fun. We'd definitely go again next year. Isabella had a great time. She saw several people she knows. We really lucked out as the weather was absolutely perfect.

Below are, drum-roll please...PICTURES!!! Thanks to my friend Kim Velevis who sent me photos she took of David, Isabella and I, I am able to finally post some pictures. The first couple of pictures are from a couple of weeks after the fire when Kim and Rob were nice enough to invite us over for a gourmet Shabbat dinner. They went all out and it was fabulous. The second few pictures are from Sesame Street Live. In the photo where it looks like Isabella is eating something - it's cotton candy. I wouldn't buy it for her, so she took a couple of bites from her friend Jordan. The rest of the pictures, except for the very last one which is at the Chili Cookoff, are from Isabella's time with Jordan and her family.

Enjoy!
