Happy Halloween!!!
Once we got through the torture of putting on of the costume and the pigtails, Isabella had a GREAT Halloween. We went to Sara and Jarred's for a Halloween party and we had a great time. Isabella had the most fun, though. She started off decorating a pumpkin bucket to use for future Halloweens. After dinner, she got to go trick or treating "by herself" for the first time. Last year she was carried door to door, but this year she walked up and said her version of trick or treat all by herself (with David and I standing a couple of inches away). She smiled for everyone, thanked them and waved goodbye. She was very polite :). At first she didn't understand the concept of keeping the candy in the bag. She thought once they put it in there, she needed to hold the candy and pass the bag to me. We had to explain to her that she needed to keep it in the bag and take the bag with her so she could get more candy for me - I mean her. She got the hang of it and walked to six or seven houses. She impressed me in that she didn't even touch her pigtails until the night was over. We made it through the entire night without a costume malfunction or a meltdown. It was as perfect as it could possibly be. Check out her pictures and some videos:
