9 Months

It's hard to believe Isabella has been out of my tummy longer than she was in it...crazy. My sincere apologies for the tardiness of this post. As most of you know, Isabella was scheduled for her 9 month appointment last Thursday (8th). On the 7th, she came down with a really high fever and ended up going to the Dr. twice on Thursday and once on Friday. That said, I didn't really think she'd be in the mood for her monthly photos. As it turns out, she had a severe ear infection (the one she had a few weeks ago never completely went away) and had to have an antibiotic shot and nine days of an oral antibiotic. She seems to be feeling much better, so hopefully we can do her photo shoot in the next couple of days. Here are the results of the 9-month portion of her appointment:

height: 26" (I really think they measured incorrectly (after all, Isabella wouldn't stop crying and moving because of the 102 degree fever). I think she's closer to 27".

weight: 16 lbs. 2.5 oz. She'd only put on 1 1/2 lbs. since her 6 month appointment. She dropped from the 25th percentile to the 10th (for height as well).

teeth: She has both of her bottom teeth (the second one came in around Jan. 5th). According to the Dr. her top teeth aren't too far behind...

food: She can start eating chicken, turkey and other lean meats.

Because of the infection, she did not get her vaccines (we go back on the 30th for that) and we didn't pierce her ears (we may do that on the 30th as well).

While we were playing yesterday I decided to take a couple of "action" shots, so those of you who need your Isabella "fix" can have it (P.S. the one with her tushy showing was immediately after she lost interest in having her diaper changed...):
